Dr. Loudis received his veterinary degree from Colorado State University in 1990. The next 4 years were spent in San Diego, where he was an intern at a very large bird and exotic animal hospital, and also worked for the Department of Pathology at the San Diego Zoo. He then worked in Denver for two well-known avian veterinarians before permanently settling back in San Diego. Brian is Board Certified by the American Board of Veterinary Practitioners in Avian Practice, a distinction held by fewer than 100 veterinarians worldwide. The Board was established in 1978 to recognize excellence in clinical practice through the certification of species-oriented specialists. Dr. Loudis has written several articles on birds, including the care of birds in emergency situations. He is now the owner and director of All Pets Animal Hospital located at 285 North El Camino Real, Suite 105 in Encinitas CA 92024. He can be reached for appointments at (760) 634-2022.
