Dr. Loudis received his veterinary degree from Colorado State University in 1990. The next 4 years were spent in San Diego, where he was an intern at a very large bird and exotic animal hospital, and also worked for the Department of Pathology at the San Diego Zoo. He then worked in Denver for two well-known avian veterinarians before permanently settling back in San Diego. Brian is Board Certified by the American Board of Veterinary Practitioners in Avian Practice, a distinction held by fewer than 100 veterinarians worldwide. The Board was established in 1978 to recognize excellence in clinical practice through the certification of species-oriented specialists. Dr. Loudis has written several articles on birds, including the care of birds in emergency situations. He is now the owner and director of All Pets Animal Hospital.
