Dr. Robert Stonebreaker,  DVM

Dr. Stonebreaker received his DVM degree in 1987 from the University of California, Davis. His undergraduate studies were in Avian Sciences at the California State Polytechnic University. Dr. Stonebreaker has practiced in several large avian and animal hospitals. He owned and operated a Mobile Veterinary Service that specialized in avian medicine and surgery. This service allowed Dr. Stonebreaker to travel internationally and work with aviculturists worldwide. He has been raising exotic birds for over 30 years. He maintains a large collection of psittacines and has been very successful in the breeding of many endangered species. He also maintains a flock of flamingos along with many different types of water fowl. Dr. Stonebreaker has written numerous articles that have been published in journals and texts. He continues to lecture and consults nationally and internationally. He is the owner and director of the Animal and Bird Hospital of Del Mar in San Diego, California.
